How Seedance handles account, payment, usage, and content information

This Privacy Policy explains how Tong Jintao, operating Seedance in China, handles information when you use sseedance.com and its services.

Information we receive

Depending on what you do, we may receive your account and sign-in details, payment and transaction status, prompts and settings, reference images or videos you upload, generated media and task history, support messages, and information needed to investigate abuse, fraud, errors, or security events. We also receive technical information sent by your browser or device, such as request timestamps, IP address, browser details, and diagnostic logs.

How we use information

We use this information to create and secure accounts, provide generation and storage features, process credits and payments, deliver requested media, handle support and deletion requests, prevent abuse and fraud, troubleshoot failures, comply with law, and understand usage when analytics tools are used. Depending on the purpose, the legal basis may be performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Service, your consent where required, or a legal obligation. We use submitted content only as needed to provide, protect, and improve the requested service operations. We do not promise that every provider or product workflow follows the same retention or processing period.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies or similar storage may be used for sign-in, sessions, security, language, and core features. When optional analytics or advertising tools are used, those tools may collect usage or device information under their own policies. Browser settings can block cookies, but blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or core features from working.

Sharing and service providers

We share information only as needed to operate the Service, comply with law, or protect users and the Service. This can include authentication, cloud storage, the payment provider selected for a transaction (including Waffo when it is enabled and selected for an English-language purchase), analytics when used, email or support services, and AI or media providers that process a generation request. Waffo states in its published privacy policy that it does not store complete credit card numbers. Providers receive the information needed for their role and may process it under their own terms and privacy policies. The rights and contact options that apply to personal information are described below.

User content and generated media

You keep the rights you have in content you submit. We process prompts, reference media, and generated media to provide the requested features, enforce the Acceptable Use Policy, investigate abuse, and respond to support or legal requests. Do not submit content you do not have permission to process. For deletion requests, we will take reasonable steps available in the relevant systems, subject to account, transaction, legal, security, and provider constraints.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing the account and Service, resolving disputes, maintaining transaction records, preventing abuse, meeting legal obligations, and handling support. Retention can differ by data type and provider. When information is no longer needed and no legal or security reason requires continued retention, we may delete it, de-identify it, or allow it to age out through the relevant provider's process.

Your requests

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or information about how we use your data. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent; where applicable, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests should include the account email and enough detail for us to identify the request. We may need to verify account ownership and may retain a limited record of the request. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your place of residence or the authority with jurisdiction over the relevant processing.

We use safeguards appropriate to the service and the information involved, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Children and policy changes

The Service is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer it to children under 18. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us. We may update this Policy as the Service or legal requirements change and will update the date above.
