•One clear subject. A single animal, product or landmark gives the model something to move.
•Light and focus. Sharp, well-lit photos come out cleaner than dark or blurry ones.
•Small, believable motion. Wind, water, steam and a slow camera move work better than big jumps.
•Skip text in the photo. Signs and captions can warp once things start moving.
•Upload limits for Kling 4.0. JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB, at least 300 px on the shortest side. The generator shows the limits for each model.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn a photo of a person into a video?

Yes, with Seedance 2.5, after a quick real-person check. Kling 4.0 doesn't accept photos of real people here. Only use photos of yourself or of people who have agreed.

Is photo to video the same as image to video AI?

Yes. Photo to video, image to video and picture to video all mean the same thing here: you upload one still image and the AI turns it into a short clip. Any JPG or PNG works, whether it's a phone photo, a scan of an old print or a digital painting.

What kind of photos work best?

Clear, well-lit photos with one main subject. Landscapes, pets, food, products and paintings all work well.

How long can the video be?

Kling 4.0 makes 3 to 30 second clips and Seedance 2.5 makes 4 to 30 second clips. Longer clips cost more credits.

Does the video have sound?

Seedance 2.5 has a sound on/off switch. Kling 4.0 has no sound switch here; the photo-to-video clip we tested came with sound.

How much does it cost?

From 14 credits (Seedance 2.5, 4 seconds at 480p, about $1.08). A 5-second 720p clip is 29 credits on Kling 4.0 or 39 credits on Seedance 2.5. The generator shows the cost before you start.

What if the video fails?

The credits for that video are refunded automatically.

Can I choose how the video ends?

Yes. Both models support start and end frames: upload one photo for the first frame and another for the last, and the model fills in the motion between them.
